The 13th Annual International Conference on Stigma will be held as a hybrid conference from Tuesday, November 15, 2022 – Friday, November 18, 2022. There will be pre-event sessions on November 14. Friday November 18 will be in person at the Howard University Blackburn Center (with webcast available). Other days will be virtual.

Conference Theme: “Power of Peer Support: Breaking the Chains of Stigma Together”

The stigma associated with health conditions such as HIV infection is a major public health problem that impedes treatment and prevention efforts. The International Conference on Stigma brings together researchers, community, academia, policy makers, faith leaders and youth to discuss the impact of health-related stigma and ongoing research on interventions to eliminate stigma. The conference includes plenary sessions;  advocacy leadership training sessions; scientific poster presentations; networking opportunities and art, with a 2022 theme of “Power of Peer Support: Breaking the Chains of Stigma Together.”

How do I want to be seen?” YOU are invited to create and submit a photo-narrative (photo + caption) expressing your ideas on the theme.  Deadline: Monday October 3rd.
